"Unlocking the Power Within: Understanding the Relationship Between Reiki and Chakras"

How does Reiki work with chakras? First, it's important to understand what chakras are. Simply put, they are energetic vortexes throughout your body that delivers life force energy within the body, so you can see how important it is that we keep them open and moving optimally. This is what keeps you healthy. Each chakra corresponds to the area of the body it is located in and every physical and emotional thing that is located there, muscles, veins, nerves, major organs, fear, love, grief, etc. When you're feeling energetic, happy, healthy and in balance it usually means that these chakras are open and moving, allowing your body to heal itself as it was designed to do. Unfortunately, through stress, trauma, depression, grief, etc., these chakras can become blocked and not function properly. This will affect your immune system and and the way you feel mentally, physically and emotionally depending on the chakra or chakras involved.

A good Reiki Practitioner will be able to detect these blocks within the chakras and many times even the source of the problem or blockages. Because all Reiki Practitioners are channelers, they are able to direct healing energy through their bodies and hands into the chakra, thereby clearing out any blockage. That is why you feel clear, balanced, and lighter after a Reiki session.

As I said, you have many chakras throughout your body but there are seven main ones. I will go into some of the things that can be affected by the 7 main chakras.

1st Chakra is known as the Root Chakra is located at the lower tip of the spine and is associated with stability, security, our basic needs and ability to withstand challenges. It includes the first three vertebrae, the bladder and the colon. When this chakra is clear we feel safe and grounded.

2nd Chakra is known as the Sacral Chakra is located above the pubic bone, below the navel. It is our creative and sexual center. It is responsible for our creative expression, reproductive system, lower back, intestines and appendix. Also, how you deal with your own emotions as well as those of others.

3thd Chakra is known as the Solar Plexus Chakra is located from the navel to the breast bone or sternum. It is associated with the nervous system, stomach, pancreas, gallbladder, liver, self-esteem, confidence, courage and fear.

4th Chakra is known as the Heart Chakra is located at the center of your chest. It is associated with your heart, lungs, thymus gland, circulatory system, blood and emotions.

5th Chakra is known as the Throat Chakra and is located in the area of the throat. It is associated with the neck, thyroid, parathyroid, jaw, mouth, and tongue. It's also our source of verbal expression and the ability to speak our highest truth.

6th Chakra is known as the Third Eye Chakra. It is located in between the eyebrows. It is associated with the pituitary gland, pineal gland, nervous system, lower brain function, nose, and ears. It is also our center of intuition and imagination.

7th Chakra is known as the Crown Chakra. It is located at the top of your head. It is associated with upper brain function. It is also the center of enlightenment and spiritual connection to our higher selves, others, and to the Divine.

Your Reiki Practitioner will usually have superior intuitive abilities because they are excellent channels. They also have a good working knowledge of all the chakras and their significance. While clearing out any blockages within the chakras they will often pick up intuitive messages that correspond to any issue with the particular chakra they are working on. They will then relate these messages to you if they can aid in your healing.

Now that you have a basic idea of how chakras work, you can now understand how important it is to keep them as clear as possible and moving efficiently. Because we live in a world that is extremely stressful and so many now deal with constant anxiety, getting a Reiki session done periodically is a very pleasant and easy answer to keeping and maintaining physical, mental, and emotional health and staying in balance.

Thank you for this. It is so important to have someone who can unblock your flow which then allows your body to basically heal itself. Again, Thank you.
